The U.S. Embassy in Buenos Aires is seeking a Human Resources Assistant to work in the Human Resources Office.

BASIC FUNCTION OF THE POSITION
The incumbent manages the U.S. Embassy’s Recruitment program for all employees, including FSNs and locally hired American employees. S/he collects and evaluates all applications to determine qualifications. S/he administers or arranges for all testing. S/he interviews candidates with the hiring supervisor and makes the final offer of employment on behalf of the U.S. Embassy. S/he is also the Main Timekeeper of the Embassy, which involves reviewing and submitting the hours worked by employees, leave, etc. to the payroll center in Charleston on a bi-weekly basis.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
NOTE: All applicants are instructed to address each selection criterion detailed below with specific and comprehensive information supporting each criterion. The job knowledge and skills /abilities detailed below are required for the full performance of the job.
  • A University degree in Administration, Human Resources, or related field is required.
  • Two years of progressively responsible experience in Human Resources is required, at least one year involved in a recruitment program.
  • Level IV (fluent) written and spoken English and Spanish are required.
  • The incumbent must possess outstanding communication, organizational and customer service skills in dealing with candidates and hiring supervisors.
